If you’re eligible and have already paid your fine and the traffic school administrative fee, the Contra Costa County Superior Court may grant a one-time extension (typically 30–60 days) to complete traffic school.

You can request an extension through the following methods

• By phone: Call the Contra Costa County Superior Court Traffic Division at (925) 608-1000. Phones are answered from 10AM to 2PM.
• By mail: Send a written request including your full name, case or citation number, and a brief explanation for the extension to the court address listed on your citation or courtesy notice (most often Martinez).
• In person: Visit the Traffic Clerk’s Office. After paying your fine and $67 traffic school fee, you can request an extension at the counter.
