Santa Clara County will grant a one-time extension of up to 30 days to complete traffic school, if you request it before your original due date. You can request the extension using one of the following methods – but it must be done before the due date listed on your ticket or courtesy notice:

• In Person: Visit any Santa Clara County courthouse and ask the clerk for a 30‑day extension.
• By Phone: Call the traffic division of the courthouse at (831) 420 – 2200, Monday-Friday, 8AM to 1PM. Tell them you’re requesting a one-time 30-day extension to complete traffic school.
• In Writing: Submit a letter to the court (or send an email) including your full name, citation or case number, and a statement requesting a 30-day extension.
